Theoretical project for A Dreamplay by August Strindberg, adapted by Caryl Churchill.

I went down the rabbit hole with this project, viewing Dreamplay through the lens of migration and cultural displacement. Drawing inspiration from horrific south east asian panoramas, south east asian performance artists and historical unrest in the region – I created a world for Agnes that was unsettling, horrific and steeped in surrealism.
